Easter '15

For some reason it is inevitable that one or more of our kids are sick on Easter.  A stomach bug was cycling through our house this week and Delia was pretty sick this day.  She almost made it to church and was able to make it to our neighborhood egg hunt and our family backyard egg hunt.  We kind of dyed eggs and had dinner with my parents.  Whew!  I'm praying for a healthy family next spring.  We are ready for it!

Avika at Seven Months

We hit seven months home a couple of months ago (yes, I have been very slow in getting these posted!)  At seven months the biggest change in Avika is her attachment to her grandparents.  She loves her Oma and Grandpa G!  So much that she usually prefers them over us.  We welcome the break it gives us and love to see her connecting with her grandparents.

Pure adoration!  She would go live at Oma's house if I let her.

Delia was playing dress up with Avika with her scarf.  They are practicing saying "Namaste!"

Avika loves the new couch almost as much as Mommy does.  Now there is room for everyone to sit all at once!

Family Picts

A couple month ago a friend did some family portraits for us- they turned out amazing!  I guess that's what happens when you combine super cute kids and a really talented photographer.  I especially loved the black and white shots, can you tell?  Check more of Niki's work at nikibryant.com and like her on Facebook here.

Winter Basketball

This year both Delia and Isaac played rec basketball.  The girls' team already had a coach so Matt was a spectator for the first time in our kids' sports careers (he still coached Isaac's team, though.)  Both kids did great- Isaac is a pretty good defensive player, he scored a couple of baskets this season (!), and enjoys being a team player.  We were hoping that Delia would take to basketball because she's so tall, and she did!  Once she scored her first basket she turned into a pretty aggressive player.  It's hard to tell if she'll love soccer or basketball more!

Winter Fun

While the rest of the country had a heinous winter this year we had a very mild winter (yay for Mommy!)  Fortunately for the kids we did have a couple big snows, and they were able to get outside and play.  They were making snow forts and having a snowball fight with Pop this day (I think these are from February.)
