halloween .16

This year we took Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles, a stormtrooper/ninja, Katniss, and a shadow trooper/G.I. Joe guy trick or treating.

Even a Shadow Trooper's gotta eat...

orange crush

A couple weeks ago Matt took the boys to their first Broncos game!  Sounds like they had the best time ever!

sharp dressed...pumpkins?

This year the kids went nuts with Sharpies on their pumpkins instead of carving them.  I loved this!  No knives or pumpkin goo or rotting pumpkin corpses.

fall soccer .16

We were down to just two kids playing soccer this fall- it felt so easy!!
Miles had a great season except for one game (his cleats were too small/tight.)  He's a good team player and loves scoring goals!

Delia spent most of this season like this:

She has had a lot of pain in her feet and ankles and can't run too long, so she was the designated goalie for most of the season.  She did great, stopped a lot of goals.  She played a couple other positions at the end of the season after getting her braces and inserts.  She's been a great sport considering how difficult playing is for her.  We're so proud of these kids!

At nine years old Delia is a kind, thoughtful, creative and unique kid.  She is doing well in 3rd grade and enjoys being at school with her siblings, cousins, and friends.  She excels at creative writing and art, anywhere she can be express herself creatively.  She has been having troubles with her feet, knees and ankles that we are working on correcting so she's not able to be as active as she likes.  She is in a fair amount of pain and is having to wear large ankle braces everyday.  She's handling all of this well and rarely complains.  She genuinely cares for others and helps with Avika all the time.  She is generous and sweet and fun and easy.  Some of her peers are catching up with her in height, but she is still pretty tall for nine- she looks and acts so grown up!  We really love spending time with her and love with person she's becoming!

Happy Birthday Delia Jane.  We love you more than you can know!  We're so grateful you are our daughter!!!
