Most days it seems as though we are raising a class clown- Isaac loves to make everyone laugh. Here he is telling his knock-knock jokes...
Putting mail on his head- he looks like he could sell french fries or something...
And here is Delia taking cues from her big brother- making faces to make Mama laugh!

Family Photo
Here's our first family picture with Delia. She has been asleep for what seems like days, so it's hard to get pictures of her with her eyes open.

Baseball
Isaac loves to sing songs (he sang Delia "Happy Birthday" when she was born- it was really cute.) With the Rockies in the World Series this year we've been watching a lot of baseball so we taught Isaac a baseball song.

Delia Jane cont...
So here's what happened-
We had a repeat C-section scheduled for Thursday morning, but we both thought that she would come early since Isaac was so early but our daughter had some more cooking to do and stayed until we made her come out. We headed to the hospital nice and early for the first surgery of the day- I was VERY nervous but had a stellar team of doctors and nurses including one of my best friends Amanda and, of course, Matt who got to be there for the surgery this time. Everything went very well and at 8:01 we heard Delia cry out for the first time and saw a tiny pink body peak around the corner of the curtain. It was awesome to be awake to hear and see her right after she was born. Matt and Amanda went with Delia to the nursery to get her cleaned up and checked out, and I met them in my recovery room to hang out with Delia for the first time. She's so cool!
Isaac came to meet her soon after that- he marched into the room, pointed at his sister, announced "Delia!", and went on to try to push all the buttons on Ma-ma's hospital bed. This new little addition doesn't seem to have fazed him at all- he was more excited about the buttons in the alligator (elevator) at the hospital. He loves to to give her high 5s and wave hi- we haven't seen any jealousy yet about people holding her. I'm hoping that lasts for the next 10 years.
We were all excited to get back home and settle in to "normal" life. Delia is eating very well which is a big relief to me. She is mostly just eating and sleeping and getting hugs from her big brother. I have had a great deal of pain and am just now starting to turn the corner. I am anxious to be more mobile and recover fully.
It's hard to believe that we have 2 children now... God is so good to us to give us this wonderful family- we are beyond grateful!

Ben & Melissa get married!
Isaac was in his Uncle Ben's wedding this weekend. It was very interesting. He did a great job as the ring barer! Here he is walking down the isle with Matt and some other shots of the event.

Reading books
Isaac is finally entertaining himself sometimes. He loves to read books and has started looking at them by himself. He looks like such a big kids here!
He still wants us to read with him, though. Here he is discussing tools with Matt while they "read" the Harbor Freight catalog. He's the only kid I know that recognizes a band saw when he sees one. He takes after his grandpas!

Go Broncos!
Isaac loves watching sports on TV with Matt, especially when he gets to wear his Champ Bailey jersey on Sundays. This was at the beginning of the game today when there were things to smile about. The end of the game didn't look so smiley.

How do you say hello?
It's fun teaching Isaac new words... his Spanish and Chinese are coming along a bit slowly though...
