Thanksgiving '12

This year we had Thanksgiving dinner at my brother's house across the street.  It was great!  Three turkeys (roasted, fried, and smoked) and no meltdowns- total success.  We spent some time with the kids talking about all the things we are thankful for- too many to count!

Miles was a little excited to go to Uncle Jason's house...

Turkey Ball!  Looks like this will be an annual tradition...

The kids love to have dance parties with their cousins.  Favorite dance party song right now- Gangnam Style!

My little turkeys...
We took some family pictures for this years' Christmas card.  This is my favorite outtake...

In an Octopus' Garden in the Shade...

Last weekend we had to be in Albuquerque so we decided to try out the aquarium and botanical gardens.  We usually hit the zoo, so this was a nice change of pace.
The aquarium was small, but the kids especially loved the sting rays, sharks, and jelly fish!

We only made it to a small portion of the botanical gardens.  It looked like they would be amazing in the summer, but an off peak visit was a bit dull. There was a large kids' section that we did enjoy...

Isaac managed to wrangle a giant ant...

And Delia found herself inside a giant carrot...

Sharks & Jags

Another little kid soccer season is done!  This fall Matt coached the Hammerhead Sharks (Delia's team) and the Jaguars (Isaac's team)- both teams had a lot of fun and improved a ton.  The last games of the season saw a lot of passing and goal scoring.  Awesome.

There's no doubt that we'll have another soccer player on our hands in a couple of years- it's hard to keep Miles off the field!

Halloween '12

This year I got to go trick-or-treating with Merida, Peyton Manning, and Kai the red Ninjago ninja.  The kids looked awesome!!  Miles' costume was the hit of the night- he often got extra treats from Bronco fans.  Or maybe just because he looked extra cute.  Funny thing was he was the most reluctant to dress up and his costume took all of two minutes to put together.  You can barely tell the kids from the real thing...

Delia's Fifth Birthday Party

For Delia's fifth birthday last month she got to celebrate, and celebrate and celebrate!
With muffins and singing at school...
A party with family.  She got lots of paints...
A Merida (!!!!) doll from the movie Brave...

And an awesome giant dollhouse...

Cake and more singing.  What's more fun than blowing out birthday candles?

And for the first time a party with girl friends from school.  It was, of course, a Brave party with lots of purple.  Hopefully I will document it on my crafty blog this century.
Happy 5th Birthday Delia Jane!  We love you SO much little girl!
