Star Wars, Nothing But Star Wars

In case you haven't heard, a new installment of the Star Wars series came out in December.  We now have a house full of Star Wars fans!  In preparation for The Force Awakens we made the kids watch the first six episodes.  They loved them, and I loved sharing all these moments that made up my childhood.  We were in a bit of a frenzy waiting for the new movie (I LOVE J.J. Abrams, I knew he'd kill it.) Thankfully my brother bought tickets early, and we got to see it the day after it opened with cousins and friends.  It was great!
Delia wanted to dress up for the viewing, of course.  She came up with this outfit from watching the trailers.  I thought she did a great job...

She wanted Princess Lea buns, but we found a tutorial on for Rey's hair instead.  It turned out great! (and was probably much easier than Lea buns)  She's been wearing her hair like this a lot since we saw the movie.

A young Anakin-esque jedi...

Ready to see the movie!  Isaac had no interest in dressing up.

Delia and I loved the movie, especially Rey!  I immediately wanted to get Lego Rey...

...with her awesome speeder.

And Delia had to have a Rey shirt as soon as I could find one.

We can't wait for Episode 8!  We can't wait for Star Wars Land at Disneyland!

The One with All the Programs

December is always so busy, this year we had three programs in one day!  Miles did the kindergarten ocean program (with a speaking part!), Isaac did an oral book report on Henry Ford, and Avika was in NH's annual Christmas Program.  They all did great and we were so, so proud of them.  I've been killing myself trying to post videos of all the kids... I give up!!  Here's a couple pictures-
The sweetest shark you'll ever meet.  His fact he had to share:  Did you know that sharks have the most powerful jaws on the planet?

She's not signing along yet, but Avika's got the hand motions down.  She was very enthusiastic ringing her jingle bells!  I LOVE this program every year, it was so wonderful watching her up there!

No pictures of Isaac, but he did awesome on his book report.  I was really impressed with how he answered questions after his presentation.

Counting Down

I am really slow in posting  these pictures... these are from December, decorating this year's Christmas tree.  We've already put all the Christmas stuff away!  Better late than never I guess!
