Dirty Deeds

Isaac and Matt went camping- just the boys- a couple of weeks ago and came back disgustingly filthy.  I'm sad this picture doesn't do all the dirt justice.  Sounds like they had the best time ever, though!

Sum, Sum, Summertime!

On our list of fun things to do this summer- make popsicles. Here we are hanging out in the backyard eating popsicles we made.

Donuts and Iron Horse

I think we've created a new family tradition.  Stuffing our faces with donuts while we watch bike riders take off for the Iron Horse (a grueling bike race through the mountains from Durango to Silverton held every May.)  I can safely say I will never ride the Iron Horse, but I do a great job eating my organic, free range donuts.  My brother rode this year and made it all the way to Silverton.  Way to go Uncle Jason- so proud of you!

Last Days of School

Isaac on his last day of first grade.  He had a great year, a wonderful teacher, and learned so much.

Delia and Miles on her last day of preschool.

Delia had a little program and a graduation ceremony.

We love seeing Delia sing all her songs with Miss M.  I'm so glad we've got a couple more years at NH school with Miles!

Ballet Recital

Delia took ballet lessons this spring and had her first recital in May.  She was amazing!  She is a very enthusiastic performer.  I don't know if we have a principle dancer on our hands, but she seemed to love getting to perform!

Spring Soccer '13

Another great season.  We really enjoyed all the kids and families that were a part of the kids' teams this year.  This was Matt's last season coaching preschool until Miles starts to play.  I think he will miss the little ones.
Delia scoring a goal- we saw a lot of this this season as she really towered over most of the other preschool players.  We are so proud of her!

Practicing with Pop...

Both kids play with their tongues hanging out...

Miles is ready to play soccer like his big brother and sister but unfirtunately has another year to wait until he's old enough to play.  For now he is great at cheering on his siblings!

More Disneyland...

More pictures from our Disneyland trip- these are from our time at Disneyland, not Cal. Adventure...
Trying to pull out the Sword in the Stone.  No future kings or queens of England here...

We loved our time on the Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island.  For some reason I don't remember doing this as a kid, but my kids couldn't get enough of all the cool caves and pirate stuff.  Best part?  No lines!

Had to stop at the Spinning Tea Cups...

Delia was the one who could wait to ride the carousel, but Isaac was the one with the good picture...

Delia in line to see Merida.  Delia and I spent a lot of time waiting to see princesses during our time here.  She seemed to think it was worth it, even though she didn't smile in a single picture with any of them!

Jedi Training Academy - this was at the top of Isaac's list for Disneyland.  Thankfully he was first to be chosen to come up on stage to learn some cool light saber skills.  Miles was the last to be chosen and ended up center stage providing lots of comic moments for the performance...

The kids in front of Mickey's house and meeting the famous mouse...

We couldn't have asked for a better trip- the kids had so much fun and were miraculously well behaved.  Mommy only had one or two total meltdowns on our last day. Super Disney fun was had by all!
