Dancing

Isaac and Matt were dancing together the other night- it was hilarious. Of course as soon as I pull out the camera Isaac mostly stopped dancing, but I thought this was funny anyway-

Isaac's versions of stuff that we say are pretty funny sometimes.

Today I told Mojo (our dog) "Your breath is assaulting me!" (his breath is really, REALLY bad) Isaac said, "Mojo, you butt salting me!"

Isaac has been VERY bossy lately, so I am constantly telling him to be polite. Today he tells me, "Mommy, Isaac pooh-white!"

What kid doesn't love a little ice cream treat? Isaac got one for finally giving up pacifiers. Yeah!

It feels like our little girl was born a week ago, but here she is at 3 months! It's hard to believe.

the harmonica song

We've been listening to the JUNO soundtrack in the car lately- Isaac's favorite song is track 1 (All I Want is You-Barry Louis Polisar - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00122NXGS/ref=dm_mu_dp_trk1). The first time he listened to it I told him we were hearing a harmonica. Now he's obsessed with it and wants to hear it again & again & again & again... He calls it "the harmonica song." We were at the bank drive-though with about a billion deposits for the store the other day... needless to say we were in the car a VERY long time and I heard "the harmonica song" about a billion times. Good thing it's a good song.

On a related note- I've been trying to decide if I liked the movie, JUNO. I've decided that I like it... when I saw it I was expecting a comedy, but it's not. Don't get me wrong, it's funny, but I wouldn't call it a comedy. It's sweet and sad and funny and messed up. I'm happy to see Oscar nods for the movie, Diablo Cody, Jason Reitman, and Ellen Page (whose performance is pretty incredible.) The movie is full of some of my favorites- Jennifer Garner, Allison Janney, Jason Bateman, J.K. Simmons, with a delightful Rainn Wilson apperance at the beginning. I could go on and on, but I'm not much of a movie reviewer. All this to say, you should check it out- it's not a 70s sitcom remake or the 3rd installment of anything- totally original which is hard to find. The soundtrack is great, too, just a couple of tracks you'll have to skip if listening to with kids.

then & now

I have the most wonderful girlfriends that I have know practically my whole life- I love our monthly "Girls Night Out" more than just about anything (Court we ALWAYS miss you!) My friend, Courtney, was in town over Christmas... here we are when we got all got together-

Play-Doh

I recently bought a Fun Factory for Isaac to play with his Play-Doh. He loves to make "sketty" and "leafs". It keep shim pretty entertained until he starts throwing Play-Doh at the dog.

big bro, little sis

I made "Big Brother" and "Little Sister" shirts for the kids... I wanted to get a picture of them together wearing the shirts, but that had proven to be very tricky. Delia's pretty much grown out of hers, so here they are individually.

frankie & mojo

Isaac loves to play with our pets, Frankie and Mojo. They don't always love when Isaac plays with them, but they put up with it pretty well.

IKE'S stickers

We've got stickers for the coffee shop now. I put some on my mini-van to advertise around town and to distinguish my tan van from the million other Honda's in town. They came out really well- hopefully no one will be confused and think Eisenhower is running in '08. Thanks to Uncle Ben for doing the design work!

Graham takes a bath

Isaac's favorite friend is Graham the dog- he can't go to sleep without him! Graham's been pretty stinking for awhile, so I finally decided to give him a bath. I was worried all his fur would fall out, but he came out just fine. It reminded me of this Calvin & Hobbs comic:

Now Isaac is a little obsessed with Graham taking a bath. The other day we couldn't find him and Isaac ran to the washing machine and told me, "Mommy! Graham in bath!"
