This year we did a couple new Christmas activities and found out the Isaac LOVES!! them... bowling and making sugar cookies. Unfortunately Durango doesn't have a bowling alley anymore (this is crazy, right?), but the Sky Ute Lodge and Casino in Ignacio, about 40 minutes away, just opened one. It was so fun and Isaac had pretty much the best time ever. He keeps asking what a casino is, though. I'm not sure how to explain that one.

And here we are making cookies to leave out for Santa. Isaac loved every part- rolling out the dough, using COOKIE CUTTERS!!!, watching them in the oven, decorating with lots and lots of icing and sprinkles. Seriously, I haven't seen him have this much fun in awhile. Maybe we have a pastry chef in the making here...

Hey Sarah!! I love all your pictures and updates! Important question: Is your kitchen from Ikea? :-) We are sort of saving up for a kitchen update, and I am thinking that we will do Ikea. Yours looks familiar.
Hey Mandy! We do have an IKEA kitchen. We still like it after living here for 2 years. Maybe someday we will actually finish it- knobs on upper cabinets, etc. The only bummer is everything comes packed flat, so you have to assemble each little bit. It was worth it for all the money we saved, though.
