Avika at Six Months

Avika was home six months on Valentine's Day!

 

Lots of firsts this past month-  there have been some hits (Valentine's chocolates, getting flowers from Pop) and misses (going down the water slide and temporary tattoos.) 

 

I think she is blowing a kiss here?

 

Looking so grown up (I guess a blazer will do that for you)...

 

I was trying to get a picture of Avika jumping here.  Once she figured out how jump she started hopping around everywhere.  Up the stairs, down the stairs, to the car, to the mailbox... She's my little jumping bean!

Overall she is still doing great!  She finally finished her four months of treatment for latent TB and slept through the night for almost a week.  She is very slowly adding some "words" to her vocabulary, and Matt and I are trying to figure out if we should be concerned with speech.  For now we are celebrating all the new sounds she makes.  She's started walking down stairs (instead of launching herself off the top step!)  She loves to cheer on Isaac and Delia at their basketball games as long as she can sit with Oma or Grandpa G.  She seems to have a good understanding of just how to be a two year old- she is charming and fun and frustrating and exhausting all at the same time.  She's our sweet girl!
